Sacramento Law firm drops case over Jacoby & Meyers slogan

The case is one of several recent trade and copyright disputes in the increasingly competitive field of law firm advertising.

A Sacramento law firm has dropped its case alleging Jacoby & Meyers Law Offices infringed on its service mark.

Clayeo Arnold PLC sued Jacoby last year for using its copyrighted phrase "Justice 4 You" on its website. According to the complaint filed by Craig A. Simmermon, Clayeo Arnold has used the phrase in promotional materials since 2007, copyrighted it in 2021 and has invested more than $5.5 million in promoting the phrase.
