Security guard who shot knife-wielding man in LA Target store must testify in stabbing victim's lawsuit

Attorneys for security guard Enedino Espinoza, who is also suing Target in relation to the incident, had argued that compelling his testimony would be highly prejudicial to his own case.

A Los Angeles County judge granted Target's motion to compel the deposition of a security guard who shot a knife-wielding assailant at its downtown Los Angeles store on Figueroa and 7th Street.

The incident last year spawned three lawsuits - two by stabbing victims and one by Enedino Espinoza, the security guard who claims emotional distress.
