Meta faces potential class action over off-platform tracking

The lawsuit targets an advertising model built on the platform's ability to track users' movements after they left the social media site, stating users did not consent to its use.

A proposed class action accuses Meta Platforms Inc., the parent company of Facebook, of "intentionally intercepting sensitive and confidential communications" between the plaintiffs and numerous streaming services, including Paramount+, ESPN+, Hulu, and Starz.
