Microsoft to settle claims over leave-related discrimination for $14M
The settlement reached with the California Civil Rights Department follows a multi-year investigation into the company's treatment of individuals who took protected leave.
The California Civil Rights Department announced a $14.4 million settlement with Microsoft Corp. on Wednesday in a lawsuit accusing the tech giant of retaliating and discriminating against California workers that took parental, disability, pregnancy, and family care leaves of absence.
