Former server claims Beverly Hills steakhouse discriminated against Black staff, customers

The lawsuit claimed that Steak 48 management discriminated against Black customers by seating them at less desirable tables at the back of the restaurant, and by applying the restaurant's dress code more strictly to Black diners.

A Beverly Hills steakhouse is accused of discrimination against Black employees and customers in a lawsuit filed by a former server in Los Angeles County. The lawsuit claims that managers at the Steak 48 steakhouse used racial slurs against Black employees and customers, scrutinized the attire of Black customers more closely than others and deliberately sat them at less desirable tables.
