Short seller charged with fraud by SEC, DOJ

Andrew Left allegedly used Citron Research's website and social media channels to mislead investors and manipulate target stock prices

The Securities and Exchange Commission on Friday charged activist short seller Andrew Left and his firm, Citron Capital LLC, with engaging in a $20 million multi-year scheme to defraud followers by publishing false and misleading statements that manipulated the market.
