Antitax activist sues state officials over ballot language
Proposition 5 would lower the threshold to pass bonds from a two-thirds vote to just 55%. It is backed by Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association.
An antitax activist sued state officials over the ballot materials for an initiative backed by Democratic lawmakers. Jon Coupal claims the language is misleading because it would lead most voters to think Proposition 5 makes it harder for voters to approve bonds.
