US judge allows Hindu group's challenge to caste discrimination claim

The state claims that Indian managers at Cisco Systems discriminated against other Indian workers they perceived as being from a lower tier of Hindu society.

A federal judge in California denied the state's bid to dismiss a lawsuit from a Hindu group seeking to block a state civil rights lawsuit alleging caste discrimination. But Judge Dale A. Drozd also ordered the Hindu American Foundation to name its co-plaintiffs or drop them from the case.
