IRS agent is last witness against Girardi, 1st defense witness called
The first defense witness for disbarred attorney Tom Girardi, his neurologist, was called out of order, delaying the prosecutors' plan to rest their case. But the last prosecution witness, an IRS specialist, testified afterward about how money moved from the Girardi Keese client trust account to the operating account.
A federal prosecutor on Thursday pressed Tom Girardi's neurologist, the first defense witness in his $15 million wire fraud trial, about why her evaluations of his cognitive ability focused only on the last three years of his career, before his law firm collapsed in 2020.
