Appointments made to State Bar governing bodies
The Committee of Bar Examiners oversees the development and administration of the California Bar Exam, managing the moral character determination and admissions processes for attorneys, and handling the accreditation of state law schools and registration of unaccredited state law schools.
The California Supreme Court made several key appointments on Wednesday to the State Bar's governing bodies.
The court reappointed two individuals to the State Bar of California's Board of Trustees, the organization's governing body, taking effect on Sept. 20.
Brandon Stallings, the current chair and a deputy district attorney in Kern County, will serve a second year as the board's chair for 2024-2025. Stallings has been a board member since 2018.
