Trademark trial over curling mascara begins

The plaintiff has accused E.L.F. Cosmetics of trademark and trade dress infringement for using pink and black packaging, Benefit Cosmetics' signature colors, and for naming its product "Lash N' Roll."

Major beauty product retailers Benefit Cosmetics LLC and E.L.F. Cosmetics Inc. went to trial in federal court on Monday over trademark and trade dress infringement claims related to mascara that helps customers curl their eyelashes.
