Mars 'stopped performing' sublicense agreement, California snack maker says
Mars also stopped Taste of Nature from displaying at a major trade show in May the products it was licensed to sell, and ordered it to stop advertising, distributing or selling the products, without giving any reason or issuing any recall, according to the motion filed by Ellis George LLP in the Central District of California on Aug. 28.
A Santa Monica snack food maker, Taste of Nature, is seeking a preliminary injunction against Mars Wrigley Confectionery US, accusing the candy giant of abruptly cancelling sublicensed product orders without terminating an agreement that expires in 2026.
