Reynolds has been actively involved as co-lead counsel in defending against a wage-and-hour class action brought by an employee against Parkview Community Hospital Medical Center in Southern California. Plaintiffs allege numerous wage-and-hour violations on behalf of workers at the 193-bed hospital.
Some of Reynolds' recent wins include a multi-million dollar confidential settlement ? returning the full value of lost wages to every member ? to a putative class of restaurant workers in a Sacramento County Superior Court case.
For Reynolds, seeing the tangible gains from the litigation is what makes her work significant. "These cases are important to my clients and that's why they're important to me," she said.
According to Reynolds, she originally did not see her career path leading to labor and employment litigation. Now, it's where she derives motivation in her work. Alongside a passion in defending employees in such cases, she focuses on the complexity of the legal issues.
Her representation of a plaintiff against a large corporation and certain of its executives in a sexual harassment case resulted in the plaintiff's six-figure settlement after the first day of trial. "Most in this client's situation prefer not to go through the sometimes years that it takes to reach a settlement but this issue was important to my client and I was proud to have handled that case," Reynolds said, adding she could not disclose the settlement value.
In Reynolds' life outside the courtroom, she is an active member of the Lawyers Club of San Diego and a coordinator for the Lawyers Club Equal Pay Day Luncheon held in April.
