Michael Farhang is a Los Angeles-based partner in Gibson Dunn & Crutcher's litigation department, where he focuses on business crimes, securities and complex commercial litigation matters. He previously served as a federal prosecutor with the United States Attorney's Office for the Central District of California, where he handled white-collar fraud investigations and prosecutions. He has significant trial experience, and has defended individual and corporate entities in a wide range of civil, criminal and investigative matters.

      Debra Wong Yang is co-chair of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher's Crisis Management and Business Crimes and Investigations Practice Groups. Ms. Yang previously served as the United States Attorney for the Central District of California. Prior to being appointed United States Attorney, Ms. Yang was a California state judge. She was appointed to the Los Angeles Municipal Court in 1997 and became a member of the Los Angeles Superior Court bench in 2000.

      Carolyn Kubota is a partner in O'Melveny & Myers' Los Angeles office. In her practice, Ms. Kubota focuses on civil and criminal trials, white-collar criminal defense, internal corporate investigations, and civil fraud actions. Ms. Kubota has extensive trial experience, including 19 jury and bench trials in state and federal courts, and numerous contested evidentiary hearings. She is undefeated at trial. Prior to joining O'Melveny, Ms. Kubota served for 12 years as an Assistant U.S. Attorney where she served as Deputy Chief of the Major Frauds Section.

      Mark Beck is a Los Angeles-based partner in Orrick's White Collar Criminal Defense and Corporate Investigations Group and is a former federal prosecutor. He has defended companies and individuals in a wide variety of industries in criminal and civil matters. Mr. Beck's experience includes corporate investigations, health care fraud proceedings, political corruption investigations, securities fraud proceedings, and the defense of various businesses and individuals accused of antitrust, environmental and other violations. Mr. Beck is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers.
     
      Walter F. Brown, Jr., a partner in Orrick's San Francisco office, is a member of the firm's Litigation Group. His practice focuses on white-collar criminal defense and complex business litigation. He represents companies and individuals in connection with criminal and regulatory investigations, as well as parallel civil and administrative proceedings. Mr. Brown also conducts internal investigations for public and private companies and Audit and Special Committees of Boards of Directors. As an Assistant United States Attorney from 19891994, he specialized in white-collar criminal matters.
