Tips & Tricks

Making printouts on the go.

So, you're sitting in your car, parked outside that famous deli (whatsitsname?) just off the main drag in Carmel, stealing wireless bandwidth and checking your email on your laptop. One message contains an attachment you need to print out. Print out? You don't have time to Google for a nearby business center. Your quick-and-dirty solution: Print to Adobe Acrobat PDF format. With the file open on your desktop, hit Print, choose PDF printer or the equivalent, and print. Your PC sends the PDF file to the directory of your choice. When you eventually get to a printer, print out a hard copy. (Be sure you select the correct printer hardware in the Print dialogue box.)
