More than 140 golfers gathered at the Navy Course in Seal Beach to participate in the Third Annual California USA Cares Tournament, sponsored in part by Robins, Kaplan, Miller & Ciresi. As the lead underwriter for the event, Robins Kaplan helped raise $115,000 for the charity, which provides emergency financial and counseling assistance to Military families throughout the nation. “Supporting [American soliders and thier families] should be a cause we can all get behind,” said Patrick Shipstead of Robins Kaplan. Shipstead, who is also a member of USA Cares’ Board of Directors and the father of an Air Force pilot, noted that the tournaments have helped raise approximately $380,000 over the past three years.
