Carlo's A-list clients of late include Academy Award winner Hans Zimmer, composer of the "The Lion King" and "Batman Versus Superman."
Along with representing Zimmer in connection with his film scores, Carlo is working with the composer on an upcoming European tour featuring his works. "This is sold out all over Europe," Carlo said.
For many years, Carlo has been a behind the scenes fixture at Columbia TriStar Motion Picture Group, helping put together blockbuster films including "Jerry Maguire," "Men In Black," "My Best Friend's Wedding" and "Jumanji." She has also handled a number of independent film financing deals. Carlo's work, though, runs the gamut of entertainment dealmaking.
"I have a very eclectic practice," she said.
Two such areas are video games and digital. Carlo has provided legal services in connection with the "Assassin's Creed" series, "Crysis 3" and "Skylanders 2013," and played an integral role in the "Z+" mobile app.
Carlo yet additionally represents CJ E&M Corp., one of the largest entertainment companies in Asia, and Marza Animation Planet Inc., a division of Sega.
Further, Carlo provided pro bono legal services to the 2012 Academy Awards, to a recent documentary concerning Haiti, and to Prince Harry's charity project "Harry's Arctic Heroes."
Prior to being named as a partner at Kleinberg Lange Cuddy & Carlo, she organized and sponsored with Verna Myers, author of the book "Moving Diversity Forward," and Suzanne Zimmer a symposium that focused on how women of different races can work together to create inclusion and opportunity.
