Wilson defends a wide range of companies.
"My practice reflects the changing nature of outside counsel. I'm not a drive-by litigator. I try to offer a value-add that is more nuanced," she said.
Much of Wilson's work has been focused on protecting companies from phishing and spoofing schemes.
"Industries are changing so quickly," she said.
She worked with Alliance Health in a spoofing case. The healthcare company needed to discover the identities of individuals conducting the scheme.
She also defended Yamaha Motor Corp. against allegations it failed to obtain certification from the California Air Resources Board for a certain model year. CARB was seeking approximately $200 million in statutory penalties but settled for less than 1 percent of that.
Wilson also successfully defended a major payment processing company in a class action in the Central District. The plaintiff contended he and other members of the class were entitled to restitution of allegedly overcharged amounts for credit card and debit card processing fees and injunctive relief based on a novel theory of disclosure and fiduciary duty that, if successful, would have substantially harmed the payment processing industry.
