Probate attorney Alice A. Salvo was recognized Thursday for her efforts in organizing the Volunteer Probate Mediation Panel at the Van Nuys Courthouse. Probate Judge James A. Steele presented Salvo with a certificate of appreciation during a special luncheon recognizing the work of the 60 volunteers who serve on the Volunteer Probate Mediation Panel and the Probate Volunteer Panel of Attorneys. Steele paid for the luncheon himself, he said, as a gesture of appreciation for the work of the volunteers. No court funds were used for the event.
