More than 300 lawyers and federal and state judges from throughout Southern California convened Wednesday at the Biltmore Hotel in downtown Los Angeles for the annual Bench Meets the Bar luncheon, put on by the Litigation Section of the Los Angeles County Bar Association. Chief Judge Audrey B. Collins of the U.S. Central District and Los Angeles County Superior Court Presiding Judge Charles W. “Tim” McCoy Jr. addressed the unprecedented cuts to California courts and their effects on case filings and the ability of the courts to process litigation.
