The La Raza Law Students of UC Davis School of Law held their 30th Annual Patino Banquet at the Masonic Temple in Sacramento on Saturday, March 31. The event honors the late Lorenzo Patino, a highly respected jurist who was one of the first Mexican-Americans appointed to the Municipal Court of Sacramento. U.S. Department of Agriculture General Counsel Ramona Romero served as the keynote speaker. Jennifer Gomez was presented the Patino Award, which is awarded to a student who exemplifies extraordinary service and dedication to the Latino community and the legal community at large.
