Debra Wong Yang, partner at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP and former United States attorney for the Central District of California, was honored by the Anti-Defamation League for her professional and philanthropic dedication to the Los Angeles community at the 18th Annual Deborah Awards Women of Achievement Dinner on April 26 at the Skirball Cultural Center. Long Beach Police Chief Jim McDonnell presented Yang with the award. He spoke of her many achievements as U.S. attorney and described her as someone who is “all business, with a sense of humor.” Yang spoke of societal changes since 9/11 and her appreciation of ADL’s outreach to diverse communities, especially to the Chinese- American community.
