WRM America financed a one-day conference in San Francisco on Tuesday to help address incidents involving sexual harassment, sexual assault, bullying and cyber-bullying. The event was designed for principals, managers, administrators and board members of schools and colleges aware of the laws pertaining to bullying incidents. Beth Kahn, partner at Morris Polich & Purdy LLP, spoke on how to prevent and mitigate legal issues in cases involving sexual misconduct and harassment. Penelope Deihl, partner at Morris Polich & Purdy LLP, shared thoughts on legal issues involving bullying and cyber-bullying. Richard Nakamura, Jr., partner at Morris Polich & Purdy LLP, gave closing remarks on appellate decision-making in regards to the day’s discussions. William Fishlinger, chairman and CEO of WRM America, gave the opening remarks, while Lee Hirsch, director, producer, cinematographer and writer of the film “Bully” served as keynote speaker.
