Civil fraud, criminal defense

Following on the heels of his success representing the New York class-action firm Milberg against honest services fraud charges, Daly is once again representing a client at the center of a media vortex: Lance Armstrong. Since this past summer, Daly has been helping the U.S. cycling icon battle a two-front attack that includes a False Claims Act whistleblower lawsuit alleging he used illicit performance-enhancing substances to win his Tour de France victories, and a parallel criminal investigation into the same issue. Daly's experience and expertise make him a natural fit for the case. As a former assistant U.S. attorney in Los Angeles, he is holding regular meetings with prosecutors to try and talk them out of filing any criminal charges. And his ample experience representing Northrup Grumman and others against whistleblower suits, may help him in that task.
