O'Melveny & Myers

Antitrust, entertainment and intellectual property litigation

Diamond has spent the better part of five years helping Advanced Micro Devices Inc. "bust the Intel [Corp.] monopoly," as he puts it. He has scored a number of wins in the long-running litigation, including a $1.25 billion settlement by Intel. Earlier wins in the case by Diamond and the team of attorneys he led helped seal additional rulings in international fora, including the Japan Fair Trade Commission, Korean Fair Trade Commission and the European Commission where Intel paid a whopping $1.45 billion fine, the highest in the Commission's history. More recently, Intel settled in proceedings with the Federal Trade Commission.

Diamond is a member of O'Melveny's business trial and litigation practice, a group he founded 25 years ago, and he is a fellow in the American College of Trial Lawyers. "This is my 37th year practicing law and practicing at O'Melveny & Myers and I still look forward to coming to work," Diamond says. "I hope the next 37 will be as much fun."
