Financial restructuring

It was one heck of a first day back at Milbank: Last fall, after spending two years at investment banking firm Imperial Capital, Aronzon returned to his old law office and immediately assembled the team that led Lehman Brothers' creditors through the bankruptcy that rocked the financial world. The Chapter 11 action was the largest bankruptcy filed in U.S. history, involving more than $600 billion in assets. This past year, the restructuring pro also has worked for client Station Casinos on a Chapter 11 that involved more than $5.7 billion in debt; aluminum manufacturer Aleris International Inc., which had $1.1 billion in financing and restructuring; and a group of lenders owed approximately $6 billion in Lyondell Chemical Co.'s bankruptcy.
