Munger, Tolles & Olson, Los Angeles

*White-collar defense, legal malpractice *

Brian is consistently on the short list of the nation's major corporations and law firms when they are in need of a top defense lawyer. Most recently, he convinced a Chicago federal jury in May to reject claims challenging the copyrights to bestselling novel and movie, "The Secret." He continues to defend Sidley Austin in a stream of civil lawsuits arising from the firm's connection to allegedly unlawful tax shelters. At the same time, he is handling the defense of two prominent New York-based law firms embroiled in legal malpractice lawsuits. In October, Brian again will be in trial defending "Girls Gone Wild" founder Joe Francis in his tax evasion case.
