Jerry R. Bloom

Jerry Bloom is an advocate for alternative energy. He has represented large-scale solar power companies eSolar and Ausra, as well as rooftop solar power company Sun Run Generation, in the development of solar projects in the state. Before the California Public Utilities Commission, Bloom has also advocated extensively for the California Cogeneration Council, an ad hoc group he founded to promote cogeneration plants, which produce both energy and heat by capturing steam that conventional power plants lose through smokestacks. Outside of the state, he has assisted in developing energy projects in Mexico, Turkey, Pakistan and China, among others.
