A lawyer's lawyer, Brian recently won a defense verdict for a major Los Angeles law firm in a breach-of-contract case arising from the settlement of an earlier malpractice suit. He also is representing Sidley Austin in cases stemming from an allegedly improper tax opinion by a former Sidley partner and defending two New York firms in suits filed against them in California. He also won the dismissal of a multibillion-dollar lawsuit against Allstate and other insurance companies over claims related to Hurricane Katrina. He currently is working as lead counsel for Boeing in a trial over a $2 billion satellite contract.
