Ronald L. Olson

A revered institution in his firm for 40 years, Olson is the lawyer on many of the state’s highest profile and most complex corporate cases. He recently represented Yahoo’s board of directors in connection with Microsoft’s proposed takeover. He represented Google in its outsourcing contract. He also helped the Board of Trustees of the Getty Trust settle legal claims in connection with corporate governance and foreign government claims to the museum’s prized antiquities collection. When he’s not trying heavy-hitting cases, Olson directs several nonprofit boards, including Warren Buffet’s Berkshire Hathaway, the RAND Corp. and the Mayo Clinic.
