ACLU of Southern California | Los Angeles

Arulanantham and the ACLU of Southern California filed a class action in June against the federal government for the involuntary sedation of a Senegalese man and an Indonesian man held at a San Pedro detention center during botched deportation attempts. The lawyer was also part of the team that sued federal immigration officials over the prolonged detention of immigrants, many of whom spent years locked up while their cases were on appeal.
