Immigrants' Rights Project of the ACLU | San Francisco

Guttentag and the ACLU successfully helped challenge an anti-immigrant ordinance in Hazleton, Pa., this year that would have punished employers, landlords and others who hired or rented to undocumented immigrants. The victory comes as a hundred cities around the United States consider similar legislation. Guttentag also sued former Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld on behalf of Iraqi and Afghan detainees who said they were tortured while in U.S. custody in Iraq.
