A decade ago, Starr was portrayed as a prude with the power of subpoena on "Saturday Night Live." Now he's in the midst of the Hollywood glitterati that made a living out of lampooning him. Shortly after he took over as dean, Starr significantly raised Pepperdine University School of Law's ranking and remains one of the nation's most sought-after appellate lawyers. If his makeover continues, Starr may yet get that seat on the high court - in the next Clinton administration!
