Sony Pictures Entertainment GC honored at Anti-Defamation League Annual Gala

Leah E. Weil, general counsel at Sony Pictures Entertainment Inc., was awarded the Jurisprudence Award at an event hosted by the Anti-Defamation League’s Pacific Southwest Region last week.

The Annual Gala Celebration took place Dec. 6 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.

Weil, the child of two Holocaust survivors, has led the legal team at Sony since 2001. In her speech Wednesday night, Weil pointed to ADL reports showing the rise of anti-Semitism across the country and urged the audience to “join the ADL in speaking out loudly and persuasively in the face of this bigotry and hatred.”
