Jensen is one of the top legal advisers for companies in the technology and biotechnology industries.
The Yale University and Harvard Law School graduate is one of the lead lawyers advising the company known for manufacturing iPhones in buying Belkin International Inc., a Los Angeles-based electronics accessory maker.
Her client, Foxconn Interconnect Technology Ltd., a subsidiary of Hon Hai Precision Industry Co. Ltd., agreed to pay $866 million in cash for Belkin International, the parent entity to the Belkin, Linksys, Wemo and Phyn brands. The deal was announced in March.
In November, Jensen led the team advising Electronic Arts Inc. in its acquisition of Respawn Entertainment LLC, an independent video game development studio based in Los Angeles.
Known for popular games such as EA SPORTS, Battlefield, The Sims and Need for Speed, Redwood City-based Electronic Arts agreed to pay $151 million in cash for Respawn and up to $164 million in long-term equity through restricted stock units to employees, according to terms when the deal was first announced.
Electronic Arts could also be required to pay up to $140 million more if certain performance targets are met, according to deal terms.
Jensen is also a founding member of Simpson Thacher’s Palo Alto office. Other highlights of her more than 25-year legal career include her guidance to Google Inc. in its $1.65 billion acquisition of YouTube Inc. and advising Yahoo Inc. in its $1.1 billion acquisition of blogging platform Tumblr.
