Reddock Law Group

Angela J. Reddock-Wright

Reddock-Wright, a certified workplace and Title IX sexual harassment investigator, has been really busy in the wake of the #MeToo movement.

Prior to founding the Reddock Law Group in 2011, Reddock-Wright litigated labor and employment cases.

Because of her litigation experience, she said she “tends to get called for really high-end types of cases.”

As part of her investigation practice, Reddock-Wright is often retained by public, private and nonprofit sector employers to investigate workplace harassment, discrimination and other claims.

These clients “want someone who ... understands worst-case scenarios and the possibility of a case being litigated,” she said.

Due to her expertise in workplace investigations and sexual harassment prevention law, Reddock-Wright was retained by the Screen Actors Guild – American Federation of Television and Radio Artists to help overhaul and rethink how they do sexual harassment and other preventive training for its members and employees.

“I’m excited about it because, even though I’ve been doing sexual harassment cases and investigations for many years, I think what the #MeToo movement has reminded all of us is that, the training and preventive work is still important,” she said.

Reddock-Wright is also co-managing the project labor agreement for the football stadium being built in Inglewood where the Los Angeles Rams and the Los Angeles Chargers will play. Because California is a very pro-labor state, “many of the public construction and infrastructure projects ... are subject to a project labor agreement,” Reddock-Wright said, adding, “What’s different about the stadium is: it’s actually a private project.”

This means that the developers weren’t required to enter into a project labor agreement or hire 100 percent union workers for the project, she explained.

“But they chose to as a part of being good corporate citizens and doing business in LA,” she added.

According to Reddock-Wright, this project — which will generate thousands of jobs in Los Angeles County — will be a great economic boost to the area.
