BEVERLY HILLS -- Thought leaders in data security and privacy gathered at the Montage Beverly Hills to discuss cybersecurity issues companies are facing today and how best to prevent them.
The Daily Journal event Feb. 26 was co-chaired by Greenberg Traurig LLP shareholder Ian C. Ballon, Manatt, Phelps & Phillips LLP Managing Partner-elect Donna L. Wilson and Arent Fox LLP partner Sarah Bruno.
Keynote speakers included U.S. Secret Service Special Agent in Charge of the Los Angeles field office Jesse B. Baker, U.S. Attorney Nicola T. Hanna, Assistant Special Agent in Charge of the FBI's Los Angeles field office W. Mike Herrington, and Crowell & Moring LLP partner Paul Rosen, the former chief of staff at the Department of Homeland Security.
Moderated by PCV Murcor General Counsel Dawn Highighi, the keynote panel focused on the regulatory framework and enforcement priorities at each agency, the nature and sources of both internal and external threats, likely targets, responding to data breaches, law enforcement outreach efforts to the private sector and steps to limit legal and business risks.
