With Wasser’s new podcast, Hollywood’s go-to dissolution specialist has never been more accessible.

“Divorce Sucks!” – a show in which Wasser speaks with celebrities, thought leaders, and everyday folks about the trials and tribulations common to the dissolution process – was launched in April of last year. Its weekly episodes, hosted on the PodcastOne network, have included such guests as Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Taylor Armstrong, actress Kate Hudson, and even her father, renowned family law lawyer Dennis Wasser.

In a two-part episode from March, actress Anna Farris opened up to Wasser about her recent divorce from actor Chris Pratt after a decade of marriage. In a broader discussion, the pair talked about their thoughts on the institution of marriage generally, prompting Farris to ask Wasser whether she believed in the idea of marriage.

Wasser said she believed in marriage, and in commitment, though she said they weren’t necessarily one-in-the-same. But then, she joked, maybe she just really likes weddings.

“Ugh, no,” Farris balked. “The only fun thing is when someone’s creepy uncle—”

“That’s me,” Wasser interjected. “I’m the creepy uncle.”

It’s not likely that Wasser had to dig too far into the Rolodex to find Farris’ number. Wasser’s name has seemingly been attached to just about every Hollywood divorce big enough to make headlines, from Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner, and more recently, Johnny Depp and Amber Heard.

Speaking to the Daily Journal, Wasser said she believes the process of divorce should be easier. To that end, she launched “It’s Over Easy” last year, an online divorce service that looks to remove as many procedural hurdles to dissolution as possible. It’s available in New York and California, though rollout nationwide is underway.

Between the app, the podcast, and her practice, Wasser said the heavy weekday workload has made her a lot more of a homebody on the weekends.

“I’ll come home on a Friday and my boyfriend will ask, ‘What do you want to do?’” Wasser said. “I want to stay in!”
