Justice Moore's article on Justice Stephen Tamura and Asian Pacific Americans in the military is a remarkable column with much information unknown to the public. As a former Lecturer in Asian American Studies and the Lead Counsel for Fred Korematsu in the overturning of his conviction, I have a great interest in the history of discrimination (and accomplishments of API's).

Justice Moore's article offered new information and a beautiful tribute to all those of Asian Pacific ancestry who were and are part of the fabric of this multi-colored country.

A big thanks and a congratulations to the new Justice (Joanne) Motoike who will join Justice Moore! (Gov. Gavin Newsom announced his nomination of Motoike to the 4th District Court of Appeal, Division 3, on May 2).
