LA Lawyers Philharmonic prepares to perform, holds auditions

heir last show was the Violins of Hope concert in March 2020 at the Wilshire Ebell Theatre.

After a nearly three-year hiatus, the Los Angeles Lawyers Philharmonic and Legal Voices are picking up their instruments once again, and they are looking for performers for an orchestra, chorus, and big band who work in the legal profession.

“We are excited to welcome new members and to continue to showcase the talent of the legal community,” said founder-conductor Gary S. Greene. “We believe that music has the power to bring people together, and we are proud to be able to share our passion of music with audiences in the finest concert venues.”

The LA Lawyers Phil and Legal Voices perform on a professional level at local venues including Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, the Saban Theater, the Shrine Auditorium, The Wallis and UCLA’s Royce Hall. Their last show was the Violins of Hope concert in March 2020 at the Wilshire Ebell Theatre. The band members volunteer their time, and there are no membership fees.

Through performances, the music groups raise funds for those who cannot afford legal services and other charitable endeavors. Auditions are open to all instrumentalists and vocalists — in particular oboists, bassoonists, trumpeters, French horn players, trombone players, violinists, violists and string bassists, and especially tenors and basses.

If you would like to try out for these ensembles, please email audition@LALawyersPhil.org or call (323) 525-1800.
