Daren Lipinsky, a name partner at the Chino Hills firm of Rizio Lipinsky Law Firm, P.C., fights to ensure his clients’ voices are heard, their rights are protected and their interests are represented.

Several of his cases cannot be referenced due to contractual agreements.

“I always wanted to help people and I found that the best way to use the skills I was particularly strong in was to help people in the field of employee rights litigation and trial work,” he said. “My family has a strong background in civil rights activism. Their commitment has rubbed off on me, and so I have a passion for civil rights.”

In one case, Lipinsky represented a man who co-founded a company specializing in CBD health products along with two of his friends. However, as the company began to take shape, an additional investor entered the picture, acquiring significant control over the business. It was at this point that his client discovered some deeply concerning issues within one of their manufacturing plants.

“This facility, which was supposed to be compliant with regulations and uphold the highest professional standards, was employing outdated and potentially dangerous extraction methods,” Lipinsky said. “These methods posed a serious workplace safety risk due to the highly flammable nature of the products involved and the manner in which those products were being used.”

Deeply concerned by the situation, his client sounded the alarm and voiced his concerns to the investor who had become the chair of the board. Unfortunately, his pleas were ignored.

“The board’s chair made it clear that the plant would not be immediately shut down, disregarding the potential threats to human life that my client had foreseen,” he explained. “Undeterred, my client persisted in his efforts to protect the well-being of those working in the plant. He continued to raise the alarm, emphasizing the gravity of the situation.”

However, instead of immediately addressing the issue, the chair of the board resorted to falsely accusing his client of theft, squeezing him out of an estimated $27 million in equity, completely derailing his life.

“Eventually, we embarked on an arduous arbitration process, battling fiercely for justice. The defendants refused to make any monetary settlement offers, which further served to strengthen our persistence and resolve,” he said. “The arbitrator’s well-reasoned and detailed decision was a resounding victory for my client and the principles he championed. This exceptional outcome, which included recovery of the full value of his converted equity, emotional distress damages, punitive damages, attorneys’ fees and interest, serves as a testament to my client’s unwavering determination and the undeniable merit of his case.”
