Bram Alden has joined Hueston Hennigan LLP as counsel in the firm's Los Angeles office. Alden joins after nearly a decade at the U.S. attorney's office for the Central District of California.
Alden was most recently chief of the Criminal Appeals section, where he supervised nine other appellate prosecutors and advised hundreds of trial attorneys. During his eight and a half years as an assistant U.S. attorney he tried and won five felony jury trials and one misdemeanor bench trial. Alden also argued more than 30 cases before the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals.
"We are thrilled to welcome Bram to the firm," Moez Kaba, managing partner of Hueston Hennigan, said in a statement. "He is an experienced, creative and well-rounded trial lawyer who will comfortably fit within our national trial practice. And Bram's extensive appellate experience makes him a tremendous asset to our clients on appeal."
Prior to his stint with the U.S. attorney's office, Alden was a litigation associate at Munger, Tolles & Olson LLP. He also served as a law clerk to Judge John B. Owens of the 9th Circuit. He holds a law degree from UCLA.
"I couldn't be happier to join Hueston Hennigan, which has become the preeminent trial boutique in the country," Alden said. "There isn't a better platform out there, and I look forward to practicing alongside the firm's incredibly talented lawyers."
