In becoming an in-house counsel, Darin W. Barber took the road less traveled: teaching first grade.
The son of a teacher and an attorney, Barber was always drawn to both education and law. In his first job after college, he taught first-graders by day and studied for a law degree at night. He even stuck with teaching for five years, with a keen interest in special education. He said parents of children with disabilities would request a spot in his classroom.
