Jay M. Gabriel joined Children's Hospital of Orange County just as the facility was embarking on a transformational expansion. It was initiating plans to build a 426,000-square-foot children's tower that's set to open in April 2013.
He said the seven-story patient tower will create at least 300 new jobs and provide a much-needed pediatric emergency department and 28 new private patient beds.
