Like many law school graduates of her time, Judy Bain had her eyes set on becoming a trial lawyer and partner at a firm after graduating from Georgetown University Law Center in 1979.
But after working on litigation at firms in Chicago and Los Angeles, Bain wanted a change, so she signed on with a small firm in New York that had a client account by the name of Epson.
