FOSTER CITY - J. Winston King was first introduced to the entrepreneurial energy of Silicon Valley in 1999, when he was a summer associate in Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP's Palo Alto office.
"The boom was going crazy," King said with a laugh. "Everyone in law school at the time was hearing stories of folks coming out and joining a firm down here and then getting picked up in-house after two years and then being a multimillionaire."
