BEVERLY HILLS - The U.S. Bankruptcy Code was created in 1979 and contains several hundred pages. Andrew Thau worked at a bankruptcy firm after graduating from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law at Yeshiva University in New York City, where he quickly realized that he did not want to spend the rest of his life with such a complicated document.
