SAN JOSE - The buzz of excitement that permeates Apigee Corp.'s brand new headquarters downtown is palpable.

Riding a wave of rapid growth in recent years, spurred on in part by the explosive proliferation of mobile applications, the company needed more room - to the tune of about 41,000 square feet. The company officially opened the location two weeks ago, with the floors and walls of the new space awash in the company's red-orange hue.
