As one of California's most liberal appellate jurists, 1st District Court of Appeal Presiding Justice J. Anthony Kline makes waves with provocative dissents and a knack for rousing his foes.
Kline has been at odds with his conservative colleagues ever since his old Yale Law School pal, Jerry Brown, placed him on the 1st District in San Francisco in 1982.
