WEST COVINA - Brian Hoffstadt's dream of becoming a judge was formed while clerking for Sandra Day O'Connor a year after law school.
The valedictorian of the '95 class at UCLA School of Law, Hoffstadt clerked for the U.S. Supreme Court justice for a year in 1996 and 1997. He and three other clerks prepared bench books for oral arguments and worked with O'Connor to draft opinions.
